Very nice. I like the clean hookups for the projector.
So, what do think of the M 500?

I haven't listened to it long enough to form a solid opinion yet. I started out with Jason Mraz Mr. A-z, then Radiohead Kid A. After those two I thought it sounded pretty neutral with a bit of emphasis on midrange and a little weak on deep bass. Then I through on Steely Dan "Two against nature" and it seemed to open up. It sounded bigger and fuller. More deep bass and the midrange sounded smoother. I don't know if it was the cd change or just the amount of time I spent listening to it. It definately has a different sound and I need to get use to it before I form an opinion. One thing I noticed, and I don't know if it's normal... The meters were peaking quite a bit, but the amp seemed like it had alot more power to offer. Also, as the needles were peaking I didn't notice any clipping.

Meter's are eye candy!! trust your ears.

Also those meters are set for a 8 ohm load, if your speakers are 6 or 4ohm the meters are reading a higher output then the amp is putting out...

Nope... speakers are 8. I'd imagine the meters just need calibrated. Not a big deal. I sent an email to get on the waiting list to have the thing modded up to a mkII. The soonest I can get in (according to his site) is Dec 2010.

What are you using as a pre-amp? My M500 was pretty dependent on a good pre-amp. Strangely enough the best one I have used was the pre out of my Yamaha DSP-A1000 integrated amp...

Very nice setup. I also noticed on the pic of the big screen, Sweed wasn't dropping a ball. I will see if I have a manual for the 500 to see how to calibrate the meters.  :o

Nice system, by the way. How do you like the Mc speakers?
Also if after a few days you still think the M-500 is a little weak in the bass, try a new pre-amp like a C-1 or something from Tommy, It can make a HUGE difference..

Yeah... sweed's a f**ktard LOL :D. Actually the whole team would fall into the "asshole of the day" category today. Oh well. in 05 they were 10-6 and won the superbowl. I appreciate you looking up the calibration thing. It's not a big deal though. The amp still sounds good. As falcon put it meters are eye candy.

Thats a good idea falcon... It only seems weak on cds. Maybe it's my cd player. It sounds great on LPs, but I'm comparing a 1000 dollar turntable to a 150 dollar cd player.

Oh yeah as for the speakers... I love these things. By far the best sounding speakers I've ever owned. I bet they'd give Tom's snells a run for their money. ;)

I just can't get over how good this thing sounds playing records! It's almost like it was designed for vinyl in a time before cds... But seriously, there is a huge improvement...

I came home yesterday and went to listen to some tunes downstairs. When I got the aluminum spinnin, I noticed my beloved Macs sounded muddy and lifeless. After checking all of the controls, I started on the speakers. Blown 1A tweeter protectors.... "Megan, what happened?" she says, "I was listening to music and then went upstairs to get eddie a glass of water. Then it got really loud. He must have grabbed the volume control."      Ya think.... Anyway, thank god for fuses.
