Hey everyone. My name's Elijah. I'm a senior math major at Cal U.
I've got a student / budget system that I've thrown together consisting of an Onkyo M-504 amplifier, Onkyo P-304 preamp, Yamaha YP-450 and Dual CS 604 turntables, Onkyo DXC-390 CD player, Yamaha RX-395 tuner, Infinity Entra I's on 32" stands, and a KEF AV-1 subwoofer.
All in all, I've got about $800 wrapped up into the entire mess. Not too shabby considering the sub alone was $3500 new.

Welcome! Seems like you have a great system going. The KEF sub is a real gem.

Thank you Ron. Would you believe me if I told you that I bought it on Craigslist for a whopping $50?
I'll throw up some pictures after the finals crunch is over and I have time to dust and clean my components. For now, they're definitely non-photo worthy!

Welcome to the forum.
Nice score on the sub!

Welcome aboard Elijah!

Thanks everyone! I just put up pictures of my system in the "List Your System" thread!
I listen to mostly rock and roll on vinyl. 60's and 70's stuff. Grand Funk Railroad, The Band, Sweet, New York Dolls, T-Rex, Faces, Humble Pie, Mott The Hoople, Traffic, Genesis, etc...
But, my tastes range from gangsta rap to classical, including everything and anything in between, from polka to dixieland.

That's the great thing about vinyl - you can find it for cheap, making it relatively painless to explore genres of music that you might not otherwise bother with.
Welcome aboard BTW! 8)
