Need to fill some Gwiz speakers stands (made in Irwin). http://gwizpro.com/ (http://gwizpro.com/)

I get mine here, http://www.precisionreloading.com/mm5/merchant.mvc?Screen=CTGY&Store_Code=PRE&Category_Code=LEAD_SHOT_BB9 (http://www.precisionreloading.com/mm5/merchant.mvc?Screen=CTGY&Store_Code=PRE&Category_Code=LEAD_SHOT_BB9)
Affordable is a thing of the past.......yeah, change you can believe in. ::)
-
At that price, I'd fill 'em with cement.
-
Hey at those prices my Sanus stands are practically free!

Anti tank rounds are made from spent uranium. Typically around six times more dense than lead. They can blow through 6" of armor like it was butter. Not available for your speakers.
Actually Scott the lead substitutes are more expensive. Sand is messy, concrete will expand, the larger lead pellets get cheaper. Good luck!

The green weenies strike again.
Here is a possible alternative. http://www.ebay.com/itm/40lbs-42lbs-Used-Lead-Wheel-Weights-melting-fishing-sinker-bullet-scrap-lead-/171311875912?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item27e2fbc748 (http://www.ebay.com/itm/40lbs-42lbs-Used-Lead-Wheel-Weights-melting-fishing-sinker-bullet-scrap-lead-/171311875912?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item27e2fbc748)

I may be able to score you some old wheel weights, p.m if you want me to try. I would guess about a 5 gallon bucket full.

I'm a green weenie.

It's Thrifty's fault! >:D

Everything is.
-
@Dicky -- wheel eights sounds interesting. Where u located?
-
Dickey, I could use some of those weights next time you come in to cast bullets. :(|)
-
Sorry, I spoke too soon. The shops I deal with used to have buckets laying around, but now they sell them to Interstate Batteries. I'll keep an eye out as I deal with a bunch of shops, but the big tire companies can't part with them anymore.
-
Thanks for checking Dicky.
-
Hell, I'll just fill them with dry play sand like I did some others. Not as heavy as lead, but better than air.
-
Pea sized gravel, or aquarium gravel might also work. Old, small screws, nuts and bolts weigh more than sand and sand can then be used a filler around the hardware. For me, straight sand is heavy enough and easy to use.
