Greetings from the North Hills of Pittsburgh...Q-Ball here! I was turned on to the VHF by Tom while dropping off some components recently at the store. I have to say I was pretty impressed :o by all the "stuff" hanging around there! What a great feeling to see all the analog faces and realize there are others that love (and can discern) good sound.
I have a Yamaha system I bought in the 70's that has been following me around the USA for most of my life. Aside from speakers (stolen) and a CD & tape deck (updates) it has remained a constant in my life. It's reliable, great sounding, and a good source of razzing :P from my friends...I'd never part with it.
I am a former drummer that has taken up electric guitar collecting in place of my 401k. I know I have a problem, ;D but along with tasty beer, good wine, and fast cars, I have very few other vices. >:D
I'm gonna take a look the forum around and see what I've been doing wrong, been doing right, and might like to change with my system. I'm sure I'll learn a lot. 8)

Welcome. Your probably not doing anything wrong. If you want to make changes, I hope you don't have an IRA because this hobby can match your taste for guitars and get expensive.

THANK YOU one and all! I hope to attend one of the meetings soon and get to meet everyone. For now I think I'm going to lurk and learn...I'm sure my system could use some tweaking. :laugh:
