The Sanyo plus series is pretty good stuff. I did a quick google search, and found one on Canuck audio mart for $200.00 and one on central New Jersey craigslist for best offer... The plus series is highly regarded on certain audio forums, Most of the stuff they made was not to available in the U.S.A.

So, it's your money. Maybe if you can get it for under $150.00 it will probably be a good deal. IMO
Good luck :D

HONESTLY  it's the main reason I'm up this late. I'm going ot do my best to bomb the bid!!! i had a chance at a c1 and a mits p20 in the 150 area, but the carver is so abundant and the p20 is so old. I want to try something new.....used new

I have heard one of plus series power amp's and it was very good, built like a tank, very nice amp. I have never heard one of the pre-amps, but I would think it would have the same build quality.

I am thinking about a hafler dh101. Some guy has one on ebay with a seperate power supply for 115 free shipping. I'm bidding on a pioneer elite from the early 90s and if I don't win it (it ends tomorrow) I think I'm going to try out the hafler. Any thoughts?

That is one of the good ones :D  But, you should talk with Tom about the Hafler he has.. Might be a good one at a good price.
My favorite pre is the Yamaha dsp-a1000 integrated that i have listed for sale. It really delivers in the low frequency's.
and it is remote control, has a sub output, and dsp effects if you like.
