Am I so out of the loop I didn't know about this? Are these the same amps just reworked to use different tubes? The line arrays are for sale? Where is that fancy preamp I have heard about?! :P

Yeah, I think most of us know about it. I don't think they're a whole lot different than the 305's, but yeah, they're running KT150's. The Line Arrays are NOT for sale. The website lies. I talk to James all the time, and they're still not done. Same applies to the 700 amps; still not technically released. I don't even know if the 350's are released yet. Everything is basically in shambles haha.
-
Just sent Bob some knobs for the x overs. He may be close on the speakers.
-
I always liked line arrays and believed they can potentially achieve the best possible sound. What's the anticipated retail on the speakers?
-
they're going to sell somewhere between 18 and 22 grand
-
Sorry I asked. I guess the price may be affordable in ten years when used systems are available.
-
James, the guy that makes them, is coming up to Pittsburgh in May. Maybe you can kiss his ass and get a discount haha.
and OCCD, we both know those speakers aren't near done yet. bob is still f**king with the crossover.
-
OCCD, are these the same speakers that we heard at Dave's place in Ft. Myers?
-
Yes.
-
I thought so. They sounded pretty damn good. I also recall the crossover was still being worked. I would like to hear the finished product.

Hey Jesse, are you planning to purchase a set of these? >:D O0
-
I'm thinking about it... if I can get that much from selling my house!
-
I'm thinking about the raven 350.
only problem is in 20 years when Rob is gone, where are we supposed to get service. probably nowhere, so its a waste of 8 grand.....possibly.
any thoughts.......
-
Most competent techs will be capable of servicing. Unless a transformer blows up - that part will likely be difficult to replace as the years pass.
-
As long as you have the schematic, they're pretty easy to go through. Like MB said, it's the transformer that's the issue; Bob has those custom made.
