I got a Marantz 1060 amplifier for Christmas from my dad. It is a beautiful amp and sounds fantastic. Here are some pictures. Also my dad cleaned all the controls, the boards and the faceplate.
thanks for reading and thank you dad.

That is a great sounding amp, Many people think one of the finest Marantz made. It is based on the 2230, and very well built.
Little Mikey has a bad ass system, and for the money he has invested in it, it is down right amazing!!! If any of you get the chance, you should hear it.

I have no doubt how good Mikey's system must sound. I was running the Monitor 7's with a 2230 and the sound was amazing. What is even more amazing is the cost of a 2230 or a 1060 with a pair of Monitor 7's can be had for around $200 or sometimes less. That setup will sound better than many systems costing several times more. High quality sound doesn't have to cost an arm and a leg to enjoy.
Congrats Mikey on your Christmas gift and fabulous system.

Your Dad got you that for Christmas?
When I was growing up our Main house system was a zenith allegro with built-in 8-track
They had only one cartridge; Neil Diamond's "Hot August Night" which was a taping of a live concert. As far as I'm concerned it was the original "Frampton Comes Alive"
Now I have nothing against Neil Diamond. In fact I'm a huge fan but come on; 24/7 of anything played on a zenith Allegro 8-track system could drive anyone to becoming a audiophile just to get the sound of that thing out of their heads. I'm piping 1060 watts into my mains and the echo of "shilo" still resonates. is their a cure out there?
Congrats on your new system and if you get the chance, Go ahead and cue up "Hot August Night" it's a treat especially when it's not on a zenith allegro system
And don't forget to take out the garbage and do the dishes. You owe your Dad for life !!!
Merry Christmas to all
Andrew
