Excellent ground loop (or unequal induced current - we are not sure) discussions at this meeting today, while consuming prodigious amount of beer, wine and chips and salsa..
We concluded that - generally speaking - it is fair to aspire to connect any Sunfire sub to a different phase from your pre and power amp, ideally a separate circuit from the next county over. If you do that and get decent interconnects, and pray intensely for several weeks, hum may drop to very low levels. Otherwise let it hum away for all its worth and hope for no one to notice.

Thank you Pepe for inviting us to your home. It was a very nice time!
P.S. What hum? I don't hear not stinking hum.

What a great picture!
It looks like a jail break! >:D >:D >:D
I hope that you all had a great time.
We'll do one at my place real soon.

It was a blast to have you over. Watching Sterling Archer do his rampage thing while dragging a saline drip bag is always a fun team building activity. :(|)

How are you liking the Emtek subs?
-
So far loving them. Very musical subs for the price, bass is not boomy or dirty. But I have yet to calibrate them properly for both music and HT. Fun activities for the next few nights.

There was a HUM because it didn't know the words.. ;D
Thats why I have 3 phase at my house it was well worth the investment just for the sound and other goodies too >:D
I put the 3 phase in a year ago and my bill dropped about 20 bucks then I installed the cap bank to help with "L" or inductance the bill now is around 35 -40 a month.
