Title: Roger Nichols, rip
Post by: wkhanna on April 22, 2011, 10:25:00 AM
Recording engineer, Roger Nichols recently passed at the age of 66. He worked with Placido Domingo, Diana Ross, Rickie Lee Jones and John Denver. He is most known for engineering all the Steely Dan albums. Nichols worked in close partnership with Donald Fagen and Walter Becker to achieve the most high-fidelity recordings possible, even developing a drum machine and sampler called the Wendel to use on Steely Dan's 1979 Gaucho album.

Roger’s website www.rogernichols.com (http://www.rogernichols.com) is asking for donations to pay for medical expenses from treatment of his cancer that put his family in debt.
