Title: Sony R-t-R
Post by: DJTommyK on April 19, 2010, 12:55:08 PM
Picked up a Sony TC-250A (mid 1960's) the other day from a guy on Craigslist (of course) for 20 bucks.  Came with a bunch of tapes as well.  The reel caps are missing, and the take-up side isn't, well, taking up.  Otherwise it's in ecxellent shape - practically flawless.  Tom, I'll need your help in assessing (and potentially fixing) what may need to be done to it to get it up and going again.  I'll bring it and some beer to the shop this week sometime.   8)

Nice score. I just got a r to r also, it sounds better then I thought it would.

Thanks!  I can't wait to get this one back in action and give it a whirl - literally!  Might have to talk Tom out of a couple of those RtR tapes he has over there as well...  ;)
