The name is Josh. I'm new to the hobby (obsession?) of collecting vinyls and listening to them 24 hours a day. I'm 25 and a student at Pitt. Being that I am a noob I'm always open to suggestions about equipment, where to find vinyls, and any intricacies I should know but don't. Thanks guys!

Welcome to the forum Josh!

Welcome to the Forum!
Curious minds wonder what kind of gear you've got!

Welcome Josh. For vinyl if you're at Pitt's main campus in Oakland you're not far from Jerry's Records in Squirrel Hill. I haven't been there in years as I don't do steps well and it's on second floor. Others here can give you more info about it. As far as Pitt, if you listen to music 24/7 your grades may not be stellar!

Hi Josh. There are more "vinyls" here in Pittsburgh than you could ever want. Gear, OTOH, is a bit tight. I literally don't think there is anyone who carries a quality new table or even carts or accessories.

Doesn't Vintage Hifi stock Grado cartridges...
