Will go check out the Sony and the tapes. The Sony is from back in 1971. Heads no longer sold, but could be relapped I guess if needed. Caps must be close to or needing replacement at this point. I like the fact that it has the dust cover.
-
I don't see a Sony. I see a Teac.
-
Teac 4070-might have auto reverse. The 'table might be a Miracord.
-
Klaus
I believe that was the first autoreverse deck.
-
Pepe-well then it's a must have:) At least for someone; I have plenty of R2Rs and other projects right now.

The description says the table is a Dual.
-
I stand corrected. Everything does appear to be in nice shape based on the photos.
-
I wish it said which Dual.
-
I think its a 1200 series Dual. I have a working 1225 for sale.
-
My best guess on the Dual is a 1219. That's an idler platter and the speed/pitch knob is the same as a 1219. The picture is of the side which is odd.
-
I wound up sleeping in, did any of yinz get out there?
-
I saw you posted and I was hoping it was to tell us about your great scores.
-
I wish I'm sure someone was there bright an early. That Sansui 8 is an ugly duckling but kicks ass!!!

I live less than ten minutes from the place, my buddy wanted to go but backed out. It's likely all gone but I'm going to swing by and see just for kicks. Hoping it's all gone, since I already have too much here.
-
Mid fi will have it posted on Craigslist tomorrow

All gone expect for a cassette deck, tapes and minty old records. I asked about what they sold for, she thinks sansui $140, teac $140, dual $50, Bose $300. Looks like the dual could've been a bargain, the base and dust cover would of been nice to have.
-
What kind of "minty old records"?
-
what kind of cassette deck? :P
-
What kind of "minty old records"?
My thoughts exactly.
-
Ray Conniff and Mantovani, etc…NO Herb Alpert. Couple of classical records. Nothing for my taste, but very well taken care of.
The cassette deck was black, Teac perhaps. I should of looked better for you guys, I don't like cassettes or their evil machines of doom, destruction and anger.
-
"I don't like cassettes or their evil machines of doom, destruction and anger"
lol - that they are, complicated and evil...
-
Then there are 30 lb open reel machines................
-
OBG, I didn't know you were a Bob Marley fan.
-
I am, he and the Wailers made good sound. 8)

Another one this weekend....
Electronics: 2 large Bose speakers, 2 small Bose speakers, Onkyo TX-DS 743 Audio receiver, Apex DV, Subwoofer, etc.
