Hello Guys and Gals,
I'm looking for some wood cabinets for a Fisher integrated amp and separate tuner. Anyone purchased a repro cabinet from the fellow in Somerset that sells on eBay? If yes, thoughts on quality of the work and service?
Thanks,
Scott

I've thought about going to his place to check them out when I'm up skiing sometime. I would like cases for my Fisher 400 and Marantz 2230.

Greetings Scott!
I bought a repro cabinet for my Fisher from the McIntosh Cabinet guy on the AK forum. Top quality work and excellent materials. First class all the way. If I recall, it was around $200, not cheap but first class material and quality. 12 ply European birch or something. Looks exactly like a genuine Fisher cabinet in build and color. Highly recommended!!

I bought a Marantz 2500 cabinet from McIntoshCabinets.com. It is very high, but expensive. Am just wondering how well built the cabinets are that the Somerset fellow makes. I emailed him via eBay.

Could you post the pics on the thread? I've always wanted a cabinet for my Marantz 2230.

The third picture is of two cabinets he made a while back that are a little dusty. But, they give you an idea of how they are constructed.
He uses MDF and walnut veneer for the side. Uses real walnut for the front and legs.
