I was going to order one and discovered Amazon Prime is offering two of them for $69. One of them is $49. Let me know if interested before I order. It's an auto arm lift for manual turntables.
-
I am up for that PBJ, count me in. The VPI needs that. Can Paypal funds to you.
-
Crap. I just went to order and it says the "2 pack"is no longer available. It's only available at $49 each which is usually the price on Amazon. I'm going to give it a few days and see if the special offer comes up again.
-
Arrg - ok. Thanks nonetheless.
-
I'll let you know if the special offer repeats.
-
Good news Pepé. I just checked Amazon and it said the offer of 2 for $69.99 will be available January 4th so I ordered them. The order showed estimated tax of $4.20.
-
well if anyone else is interested, let me know and I'll split the order with you.

Here is an elegant, but rather expensive option. https://www.musicdirect.com/analog-accessories/Little-Fwend---Tonearm-Lifter-(High) (https://www.musicdirect.com/analog-accessories/Little-Fwend---Tonearm-Lifter-(High))
I am lucky to have an original Audio Technica safety raiser.

I used to have the Audio Technica version on my Thorens TD-160 I had bought new in the 70's. I sold the Thorens to a buddy back in the 90's complete with a Shure V15 II Improved cartridge for $25! He still uses it to this day.

The AT is on epay, at crazy prices. I bought mine new in the late 1970s for $15.
-
Same here. Bought mine back in the 70's
-
PBJ - thanks! Will paypal Marylin the funds!
-
It's Marilyn. Do you still have the PayPal acct?
-
Just sent to her Paypal....
Thanks again,
Pepe

There was no rush. But thanks

The numbers of time I have left the arm running at the end of an LP is irritatingly high, probable several hours of worn stylus wasted in that end channel. This will pay for itself by delaying the need to re-tip. Always good when the jews to unite to get something a bit cheaper than normal!

Bringing back a blast from the past...
The Mofi StudioDeck is the first all manual table I have owned. I can deal with manual starts, but not returning at the end just wasn't working. I started my search with the Q-up and if it were the only option I would have got one. I didn't care for the springy pop up. That's when I saw the little fwend and then the AT6006R Safety Raiser. Pricey, but the looks and function were spot on. Installation isn't easy if you have big fingers, but doable. The raiser, riser, whatever has to be reset each time or you'll get a "WTF, why is this record skipping" issue. Other than that, it's been perfect...well except that time I let the table run for almost 4 hours because I forgot the power button needs human input. They are pricey at $130, but cheaper than a new stylus.

nice addition to the new table... congrats!
-
I had one back in the day, when they cost $15 new. More recently, I was lucky to find one attached to a used turntable I bought just to get the Raiser.

Since this thread was revived relatively recently, figure I'd go ahead and mention that, just this morning, I set up the (used) "Little Fwend" I snagged on the Hoffman board last week. Works like a charm!
