Title: Wanna take a stab??
Post by: Slim-Shaddy on February 24, 2010, 09:35:27 PM
1) I've had a NAD t763 receiver in the shop for about a year now and after talking to the tech it looks like I'm bringing home a parts unit. He replaced two boards to no avail.
2) My dad gave me his non-functional NAD c541 cd player. It's not reading cds or even acknowledging them. The transport seems to be spinning the cd too slowly. I replaced the transport. Tom put in a new belt. Ron (Rgpit) put in 2 new motor drive chips. All to no avail.

If you would like to take a stab at either or both units let me know. I'm willing to pay for repaired units.
This will officially be my last attempt at repair before they are shipped to the highest epay bidder for parts.

Peace 8)

That sucks :( :( :(  Some people love NAD some hate it. My experience is, if it is not under warranty, stay away..

Hope you get it figured out.

I never had any dealings with them. But, that seems like a long time to NOT fix it.
