This is a project that had been on my mind quite awhile and has kept me busy for the last few months. The intention of the room is for a relaxing gathering area. Strictly NO TV!! It will house my favorite stereo of the week and seating. It should be a nice place for friends to have a drink, listen to some tunes and converse.
There's still a lot of work left to do, but here's where we are at as of now.

Nice, I foresee some good times ahead!
-
Very nice. I love all the wood.
Your going to need a plush area rug and some cushy furniture to take some of the liveliness out of the room.

I've thought about that a lot. Tom suggested putting up bookshelves... which makes sense. I want animal pelts, but I don't think the wifey will go for that...

Very nice work Ed!

Haha... yeah I know! I didn't notice until I looked at the pics. Sawdust has a way of exposing those things lol...

Maybe you should have the wifey pick out some tapestries to hang between the windows. Those areas will be the hot spots.

Ed, that looks awesome! Great job and congrats.
-
Sweet setup, the dog looks befuddled. Great pictures too, was that with a DSLR? (now tell me it was an iphone 4!)
-
Thanks guys. Pepe, it's a Nikon D60
-
The quality of the DSLR image sensor slaps you in the face to remind you that the pic was not taken with a point-and-shoot. The colors are just right. Only 10 megapix but those are really good pixels... enjoy...
-
Ed I love what you've done with that room.
Congrats!
-
Nice space Ed. The XR 16's look very good there.
-
That look nice...very pretty curtains ha ha ha ... :P
-
Just beautiful.
Can you come to my house next ?

-
Turned out very nice Ed.
-
Thanks folks.
Klause, the XR-16s have never sounded better to me. All i've listened to so far are records on a new cart, so that might have something to do with it.
-
Very inviting.
-
Simply beautiful work Ed. You must be very proud Sir and rightfully so.--------Sincerely, Bill(BB3)
