Title: True story
Post by: Falcon on August 16, 2010, 04:53:52 PM
Last night I was laying around with the wife, watching TV, and listening to her Police scanner.
About 11:00 PM, someone calls 911 and needs a ambulance. The call came from County Housing Projects. Alle-Kiski Medical center is about a 4-5 minute walk from the housing projects. The caller had the end of a Q-tip stuck in their ear!!!
So if this was you, would you walk 5 min. to the E.R., Get in the car and drive for 1-2 minutes to the E.R., or call 911 and wait for an Ambulance to take your ass to the E.R.
I don't think it is wrong to assume that the caller does not have to pay for their own insurance.. or Ambulance ride..
The last time I got a ride in the ambulance I also got a bill for $375.00

About a year ago my wife took our son for a follow up with a specialist in Monroeville. While there the specialist called an ambulance to take our son to children's to cover her ass because she made a mistake diagnosis on their first visit. About a month later we got a bill for around $500.

I thought the only thing you should stick in your ear is your elbow.

They should have told them to shove it thru to the other side.
