Hi all. Any thoughts on the value of a Carver CM 1090. New in about 1990, 100 WPC, metrers, phono section, etc. Since it's 20 years old, what service might it need? Thanks

About $300 on the low end...

Caps are due for replacement & most likely need to be done to keep it operating up to spec.

From what I know, it is a TFM-15 with a preamp. It most likely will if not already need serviced to bring back to spec.
I have owned tow TFM-15's and liked them. It is a good amp.

Thanks, all. It sounds like a couple hundred buks for the amp, plus a few more for Tom's magic is a fair investment. And, I'll have a unit that should play to spec for a number of years.

I like the 1090.

Haven't yet made the purchase. It's still available for $200, but I have only seen Pics and am not sure of the condition.
