The stereos have changed a bit. In the Living room I put a pair of Energy Reference 22 Pro speakers powered by the old Bryston 3B. I also moved the Carver TFM 35x to that cabinet for zone 2 powering my outdoor speakers.
In the "den" I had an old Telefunken console that was starting to sag under the weight. It was replaced today by a Scott console cabinet. Tommy and I picked up the cabinet the other night, and it was in so/so condition. I sanded down the to, removing the old varnish and water stains, and re-stained it with a medium oak and it looks pretty nice. I also did some demo on the inside to make room for my components, and put a sturdy shelf in using 2x8s. The turntable being used is my back-up (Yamaha YP-211). The preamp is a new acquisition (Sound Valves VTP-100).

I love those Big A$$ meters.
-
Thanks again folks. Zoot... Meters make me happy...
-
Everything looks good, Ed! I'll make it out there after the semester ends in a few weeks.
The meters, oh the meters, and how they light up a white living room. :) :)
Ed, are the surrounds on the 2-way's woofers "inverted"?
-
SD, yes, they are inverted. They are also hand stitched and, I'm assuming, glued to the cone. Anytime you want to stop by, just let me know.
-
Ed,
very nice setup(s)... Enjoy your labor! :)

Very nice, it's fun when everything is moved, almost like a new system. How do you like the Sound Valves Pre?

I like it a lot so far. I'm excited to get my turntable back to try out the phono section.
