Not sure of the exact.  This post was dated 4/30.

Retired McIntosh Chief Acoustic Engineer & Loudspeaker Designer Roger Russell has passed away.
Rest in Peace Roger.

Yes-that Roger Russell.  Right or wrong, he always based his opinions on science and research.

It's hard to tell from the written word, but I think Emp was being facetious calling him a heretic.   At least I hope he was.

You know me well, STaL.    Things get lost in the translation on the interwebs.    It seems to be out of fashion these days, I still trust science a little more than I trust marketers selling me pedestals to keep my speaker wire off the floor.  But, hey,  that's just me.

I am with you guys.  Using a short run of basic, quality 12 gauge wire for my speakers and they lay on the floor
