First off - Thanks to OBG for a this one. Had a good Saturday morning drive to the Pittsburgh area to meet up with a fellow member and talk good music and Pioneer tape decks. More specifically his CT-F1250. I got this baby home and polished up the face, pulled the motor and ran it off to the local shop for a rebuild. Got everything back together today and happy to say it's running strong. About an hour and twenty minutes on the clock and still going. This is a permanent resident! javascript:void(0);

Very impressive! From one tapehead to another, congratulations!
I'd be interested in hearing the SPEC system once it's all complete!

Very nice!!

Sunny D, Thanks! I'd like to think I'm almost done, but truth is I'll keep looking to add one thing or another.

Excellent! What did they do to refurb the motor?
-
Nice. Just out of curiosity, what are you using for speakers?

Very nice and a big, heavy looking unit also. Reminds me of the Phase Linear tape deck. Impressive!!! 8)

The motor was replaced with one that was already rebuilt. The shop gave me back the original motor as well, which still needs rebuilt.
I'm running a pair of Monitor Audio MA 100 bookshelf speakers. Simple, nothing too fancy. I went and listened to some Paradigm's that I liked, but I'll have to save for those.
