Title: Nikko Alpha VI Amp
Post by: Jeff M on January 13, 2012, 07:57:39 AM: This beautiful Nikko Alpha VI needs repaired. It was working perfectly, powers up, but has went into protection. There are no techs up here(Erie area) and do not want to ship to have repaired. The 2 way shipping would be expensive as this weighs ALOT. I did talk to a well known tech out of state and he suggested new caps might be in order and could be all that is wrong. I am not a repair guy, so maybe you folks in Pittsburgh know a tech down there. It is in great condition cosmetically and I have the original box. 300 wpc, all mosfet dual mono design. I recently picked up some Polks, so I can't use it anyways since it is a non-common ground amp. When these rarely do show up for sale, they fetch over $1k and thats without the box. I will sell for $550, the way it sits. The white spot showing on the side is just from the camera flash. Might be an easy and cheap fix, but I am not going to deal with it right now. If you are a tinkerer, then this is a great amp to own...........or flip.
