Post by: wkhanna on April 21, 2012, 10:14:31 AM
Today is the DAY.

Now go buy a record or two or ten, and support your local brick & mortar Record Store.

I went to Sound Cat but they were out of the one I wanted, so I bought a Hendrix single.   Then I tried The Exchange in Sq Hill, they were also sold out of it but told me Monroeville had it, so I went there and got it.   What was the object of my desire?

I like Leonard Cohen songs as long as he isn't the one singing them.

Which part?   My record or my thoughts on your selection?   The best thing I can say about Leonard Cohen is at least he isn't Tom Waits.

Sorry....should have been more explicit.

:o re the object of your desire.......V funny!

AFA Cohen's abilities as a crooner........I suppose it is like bourbon or single malt scotch.......an acquired taste.
It is easy to understand how both Waits & Cohen sound abrasive to many.

Went to 1/2 price books at lunch, bought another 40 albums.  That makes 120+ in the past few days.  ;D
