Impressive looking, but all that stuff would distract me and prevent me from being fully enveloped in the movie that I wanted to watch.

It is a tad over the top.  Somewhere along the line he went out of control with the decoration and the law of diminishing kicked-assness rolled over his project.   O0

If he left out the columns I think it would be pretty great but yeah... A little over the top.
