I need to get these out of the house. The ribbons are buzzing. They aren't torn, and Tom thinks he can fix them without replacing the kapton. I had planned on fixing them, but I haven't gotten around to it, and they are just taking up space and getting dusty. Will consider trading for a reel to reel deck or sell for $250.
The preamp is an AVP2000. It is the stereo version with dual zone capabilities, 2 sets of preamp outputs per zone, balanced outputs, and a remote. The rubber feet have become soft and sticky and need to be replaced. I would also consider trading this for a RtR or selling it for $150.

Well will take them pending confirmation from Tom that he can fix them. I hope that is cool.

Cool, Pepe... Let me know. When I get a hand lugging them to my car I'll get them there. Wait for your confirmation.

Will confirm soon - need to call the old man tomorrow and see what he could do to fix them. Thanks Slim!

Ed:
I am going to pass on these as my wife is harassing me about speakers that are as tall as people. I think this is a great deal for someone willing to invest in the restore. Good luck on the sale!

Pepe, I thought your Hi-Fi room was immune from domestic influence

Are they in oak or are they black? Thanks Harry

MacG: strictly speaking the basement is my territory. In practical terms, we aim to maintain diplomatic relations as warm as possible with all members of the household. >:D

Oak.. I think OCCD is taking them. I will post a sold sign when the deed is done.

Slim - you better get the wood type right, F1nut will set you straight otherwise. Rev and I have a poor track record on that.
-
Cap'n-I understand. My problem is space and it is rather strictly defined. When I put the Tandberg 10x on top of my equipment rack, it was a no go. Now I'll need to tear down the entire set up and reconfigure the component placement. Oh well, everything needs a good cleaning, and a couple of pieces need a tweak or two anyway.
