Title: Selling Tannoy Mercury Mx
Post by: treos33 on November 11, 2013, 08:33:12 AM
Hey Guys,

I saw some interest for this stuff in the shout box so I figured I'd let you know that I'm selling it. I picked it up from a guy in the north hills who works in a studio and absolutely loves Tannoy. He kept this stuff in amazing condition but his wife made him sell it and go the sound-bar route. I was going to give it to my dad for x-mas but plans changed so now I'm selling it to fund a HT receiver for my dad.

Happy to negotiate with forum members.

These are also mine:

I picked them up at the last swap meet. Used them for a little while with my HT but eventually went back to my velodyne. I paid $80 for them so I'm just trying to get my money back.

Are the subs passive?

They are passive...now. They originally had 150 watt plate amps but both had died before I bought them. I ran them off at 120 watt/channel rotel amp for a week and it drove them pretty well.

I measured the drivers at 8 ohm.

I see now that you said that in the ad.   I've really got to work on my literacy.   Congrats on the sale.
