If the Rappaport pre is humming that means the high level stages are blown up which is non-repairable as the high level stages are sealed in epoxy modules.
I know as I own one and there was one in the shop.
I may be interested in it as a parts unit or a chassis to build a preamp into.
I offer $25 for it.
