Well I called the CL seller today about this this morning, it's about 5 miles away, guy says come on out to check it out. This is a pretty rural area, but I wasn't prepared for this. There's an old farm and this guy lives on the property. Asks what I'll be driving, 4X4 would be best, no shit there. So I head out to the farm, there's this steep little lane of the farm road, given the area I don't want to go down the wrong lane, call back, right lane, it's cool, come on down. House looks like a moonshiner's shack. Real native territory. Long story short, the receiver seems to have issues, hopefully some cleaning and deoxit can do some magic, Paid $50 and was happy to get out of there. I'll post a couple pics when I get the cover removed.

at least you didn't find yourself in one of those "squeal like a pig" moments o_0

No lie there, think that cabin in Deliverance, but more run down, shallow grave territory.

That reminds me of last Labor Day when my wife and I detoured thru the late John Murtha's Johnstown to buy some weight equipment. Turned off the main road onto a side road and headed up a long hill. Then had to make a right onto rutted dirt road and even more climbing. Old school bus in the yard in front of a frame house with tires on the roof holding down the tar paper. Never was worried but definitely one of the more colorful locations I've visited.

I didn't mention, the farm is owned by a rather notorious mc club.
