Title: new DAC
Post by: papabearjew on December 24, 2014, 05:27:41 PM
BJ and his wife bought me a new Schiit Modi 2 DAC for Chanukah. They were over yesterday for dinner for the last night of Chanukah so BJ hooked it up for me. I never had a need for one before as my serious listening has always been analog. With the advent of TIDAL, the problems I'm having with some of my analog equipment, and my own physical inability to constantly flip records or tapes it sure seemed like a good idea. It's awesome. I have the laptop sitting on an end table right next to my recliner so it's real convenient. I have pretty much listened all day splitting time between my speakers & headphones. I will admit though Spotify is easier to navigate, at least for me.

Thanks BJ & WBJ (wife of BJ)

Very nice, PBJ!

I picked up a Bifrost recently and have been really liking it, they make nice products.

that company really blows my mind.  it seems like they're pumping out all these designs that sound great, and they all somehow fit in to these tiny chassis and they don't cost an obscene fortune.  and they're built in america, which i was very surprised to see.
