Greetings!
I have a pair of KLH Model Six speakers that I am considering selling. They sound great, appear to be all original. Cosmetically 9/10, the only "issues" being a missing badge and a 1/2" chip on one corner.
Please email me at rdoncourt at g email dot calm if I can answer any questions.
Thanks!
Rob

Rob,
I see you registered today at around 1:30PM and your first post is trying to sell something? without pictures and no price.
-
We probably won't hear from Rob again. He is phishing. He will have better luck on Craigslist.
-
My apologies for not bring more thorough. I posted the ad in haste and couldn't upload pix at the time due to file size. I will gladly do so when I get to my laptop.
Thank you,
Rob

FYI - I've bought nice pairs of these before for $50 +/- a few bucks.
-
I bought a Leak Stereo 20 system for $85, but that doesn't make it the going rate.

As promised:

Good luck with your sale. The KLH 6 was a classic every audiophile should experience....even if for a short bit.
I owned a couple of pairs for a few years. Smooth....a bit too polite (rolled off) on the top end but very enjoyable.

That's an understatement. However, there have been a lot more KLH 6s sell in the $50 range than there have been Leak 20 systems sell in the $85 range.

The price that he quoted to me was 9x $50.

This isn't an auction here, what is your price?

I posted "considering selling" in the hope of entertaining offers. In lieu of any - and due to my utterly graceless entrance here - I am asking for $300. I may wrong, but these are really in outstanding condition. Will also consider trades for acoustic or electric guitar / electric bass / live sound stuff. I'm specifically looking for a jumbo acoustic guitar case, Fender Squire or clone J-Bass or I-pad audio interface.

Wow!!!,

You might get someone to pay that, but I'm fairly certain it won't be someone here.

Hello Robindaburgh.
The KLH are nice speakers. List them on Craigslist as well.
You might want to review your price though. Unfortunately they don't fetch those prices.
I thoroughly enjoyed mine. I paid $40.00 and then another $15 or so for a set of tweeters on eBay.
Good luck.

I had a pair and I heard nothing over 10k Hz so I sold mine for $60.
And mine were in good shape.

Only if he posts pics, a price, and responds to buyer inquiries. That's what lead me here - I started asking around the 'net for West PA audio after chasing waaaay too many dead-end listings on CL in the West PA area.
Why bother listing if you don't want to sell?
Evilbay is an alternative - if you want to double/triple the costs due to shipping.

Once again my memory has failed me. Here's what I actually bought and sold two pairs of KLH 6s for (y'all are probably surprised I keep a spreadsheet on this type stuff, then again maybe not).

Having that spreadsheet will be a great help during your upcoming tax audit.

I was thinking that too

Plus I'll get my usual 10% Whistleblowers reward!!!

Doesn't keeping track of the financials take the fun out of it? Or, maybe that is part of the fun.
While I don't keep details, I suppose I am even or better over time.

I have all my hifi stuff on a spreadsheet along with medical history, meds, auto stuff, fishing stuff and finally my bucket list. BJ also set up a spreadsheet for all my CDs in my CD jukebox. All my vinyl, RTR & cassette tapes are in the original spreadsheet...it's called a Rolodex and I started it in the early 70s!

I checked for my eBay sales. As long as you spend more on your hobby than you make from it, you don't have to declare the sales. I assume that everyone here spends more than I do, and I spend too much.
