Decided to fire up the central AC last week to find it was dead. Bummer..
Called the repairman for service and they charged me $89 diagnostic fee + $119 for a replacement capacitor.
out of curiosity, I searched online for that part and found it goes for around $25
If this ever happens again, I'll take the chance and just try swapping that first before I call anyone...
