Title: Luxman PX-101
Post by: Reverend on July 15, 2010, 06:51:34 PM
Picked up a luxman linear turntable for cheap until I can fix my Acoustic Research XA.  I was surprised at the weight of the thing.  It came with a Stanton cartridge which doesn't have any markings but I've seen them before.  A ball with a brush hanging off the front of it.  All and all it sounds pretty damn good.  Might invest in a new cart but should be a keeper.

Found a replacement needle for the cart, that should make a big improvement as it looks a little worse for wear.  I really like this table.  Very smooth operation.  The arm weight is made out of a solid block of aluminum.  Sounds fantastic.  Sorry Kingman, this might be a keeper.

...I understand Rev...I always liked the look of the linear tables. Do you have the top for it?
