I set out to purchase an Onkyo DX-7210 CD player. I wound up with this beast.
This is another CL gem.
I went to the folks' house in Lawrenceville. The CD player was missing the transport cover and it looked like they made breakfast on it. Naw. I was as polite as I could be. I explained to them that the transport cover missing meant extra dust inside of the unit, the cardinal sin with CD players. I asked if they had anything else. "We have an old Onkyo radio, but it's heavy. You can come in and look at it."
EUREKA! Bedroom system, ahoy!
Me: "Well, I'm not 100% sure what it's worth, how about $25?"
Lady: "Sure."
I'll post nudes of her this week when the cleaning process begins. It's built like a Cordoba. And it's EXTREMELY wide. It's heavy too. I'm guessing ~50 lbs. It's got a subsonic AND a supersonic filter. It's MM/MC selectable, and has all kinda weird Pre-Emphasis stuff that I need to read more about. I haven't tested the FM section yet, but with a 15' wire, the AM section left me pleasantly surprised, pulling in Zoomer 740 AM in Toronto (sadly) better than my CT-800 (which needs aligned) with the same length wire.

As soon as I saw them in the shop, I pictured my Model 22's on them.
