Title: Ridiculous stuff to listen to in the basement...
Post by: fhawk618 on August 13, 2010, 12:01:48 AM
Long day at work--had to go commercial. Audio source--Toshiba Satellite laptop w/1TB external HD running PCDJ VJ Pro, preamp--Mackie ProFX 8 all digital mixing board w/32 bit effects and onboard EQs, processors--BBE 362 Sonic Maximizer, Alesis 3630 Compressor/Limiter/Gate, crossover--BBE Max X3, amplifiers--Carver PXm 900 (mids/highs), Carver PX 1450 (lows), speakers--Peavey Impulse 200s and Impulse 1015s (mids/highs), Harbinger HX 118s (subs).

Not the cleanest thing in the world, but satisfying after a long day at work.

Alot of the pro stuff sounds great. I'm sure it's an enjoyable setup.

I understand almost nothing pro or home, but sure would like to hear it.

For a couple of years, I used a Presonus pre to drive my deck system.  I liked it so much, I bought a backup unit.  The down side was all the inputs/outputs are 1/4 inch.   ;D

Great stuff, and I only changed it out as I upgraded my DAC to the BenchMark Pre.
