Title: Pioneer SX-828
Post by: Slim-Shaddy on December 10, 2009, 05:54:57 PM
Any interest in a Pioneer SX-828 receiver? The cabinet and chassis are in great shape.
Ok, now with the bad...
-missing original volume knob, replace with different pioneer model.
-Missing dimmer button, the switch was funky to begin with so I completed the circuit to keep it "bright" at all times.
-speaker light, speaker A light, and phono light are burnt out
-Issue with a rumble in the left channel while turning the bass control. I deoxed the hell out of it and it took care of 90% of the problem, but it's still a little scratchy

Always looking for trades...

I love the blue backlight on those old pioneers.  Freaking sexy.

Just wanted to add that I gave the amp a full test... I took it to my buddy's party and had it cranked for about 6 hours straight on all kinds of different music and it didn't flinch. There is a little bit of noise coming from the left channel though. Not sure what's causing it.
