Title: Remington under Fire: CNBC reports on alleged defects in the Model 700 rifle
Post by: MasterBlaster on August 21, 2011, 04:29:35 PM

At first blush, this is a rather disturbing report from CNBC about one of the most popular rifles in American history.
But if you think about it more, CNBC's allegations seem to unravel.

Is this responsible journalism, or an attempt by the media to smear an icon and in some ways attack our civil rights?
Have any of you heard about this  before, or seen this report? What are your thoughts?

I've attached the original CNBC report as well as some responses from Remington.

A few of Remington's Responses on YouTube:

I really like this one. Remington confronts the allegations in the video "evidence" head on,
and asks the questions that CNBC failed to address:

Is this "Insider's" interest really towards "Getting the word out to the Nation", or is he more interested in collecting
payment from CNBC for the interview?
