I just replaced all the coupling caps in my C-19 (8 X .47uF-630V caps) and at the same time upgraded the op amps. Everything sounds great EXCEPT I am not getting much treble on the MM phono right channel. The MC input is good. I replaced the op amp for that input but the problem continues. It is if the tweeter on that channel were dead (but it is not).
Appreciate any suggestions,
The schematic for the C-19 is available here:

$%$#@%$#%
Now I have to drive over to the shop on Tuesday to get the phono stage repaired. Then I will need to have a beer with Tom. Or two.
Wait... that is not so bad after all.
Will return the C-9, see if you can soup it up and sell it to me.

I hate it when that happens. Since it was not accompanied by smoke and sparks, maybe an easy fix.

On the plus side, the soldering pen Bearjew recommended kicks ass! That thing is ready for action in no time.

I haven't even taken my new soldering station out of the box yet. I really need something to solder. As soon as I feel up to it I'm going to get BJ or his brother to help me run new speaker wires. Then I can solder on the banana terminals! I can't wait.

When that pencil gets hot, gets really %$%$# hot like right now. None of that fidgetingwith the trigger on a 100/140 watt Weller gun. It really makes messing up your Carver preamp a lot easier, faster, more efficient.

next time you're hear remind me to hide my soldering station and/or my Carver gear

ha, next time we are recapping your carver while watching seahunt episodes and drinking whisky, not in that order.

That's funny as hell! I almost spit my diet coke right at the computer monitor.

I wish Sea Hunt reruns were on. That was my favorite show as a kid. That and Flipper.
Carl, did that Diet Coke go with a pizza with everything on it? haha

Sea Hunt lives!!!! Unfortunately, I don't recall the days and exact time, but the Retro channel on Comcast (207 I think), reruns Sea Hunt early on weekend mornings and by early, I mean something like 5:00 AM, give or take.

Holy underwater Batman. I found Sea Hunt on channel 204. It's called "THIS" channel. Sea Hunt is on Wednesday morning from 5:30-6:00am. The next episode is season 2, episode 33 from 1959.

Man I loved Seahunt as a kid! Mike Nelson (aka Lloyd Bridges) was a badass O0
-
wonder how many times Mike Nelson got assaulted in the water? I also wonder how many times one of his attackers cut his air line with a knife? I think we got a bit off topic. haha

He also had cool boats. Made of wood at that time,.

I set up DVR to record all upcoming episodes. I can't wait. Yeah...the boats were awesome.

Wasn't his character a former Navy "frogman"? We now call them SEALs.

What about Sky King? Twin engine Beech as I recall-very cool plane.

My wife looks at the Seahunt DVD cover and says "wow Lloyd Bridges looks young!" Neither her nor I were born when season 1 came out.
