Post by: EmperorNorton on February 28, 2015, 09:05:30 AM: Guessing that he quit in 1985 when he was 53. So he probably smoked for 30 years or more would be my estimate. Thats a lot of damage to undo. The body is pretty amazing but still. I know several people who smoked up until that pesky Surgeon General report in the early 60s came out and they are still kicking.

Still, cancer is a complicated, cell division gone wild, so who knows. My wife smokes a pack a day and I gave up trying to convince her to stop - it was bad for my health.

Good night to pull out a Star Trek blueray and celebrate the old vulcan.
