This is the Teac 550RX.  You would walk by it at a flea market and think "just another shitty 2 head deck". And you would be wrong.  I bought this from Tom,  who knows a thing or two about sleeper decks.  It has a tone to it that is unique - tube like.  I cannot monitor what I record,  but what I do record I often what to hear again.  Commercial recordings that sound meh on a regular deck sound good in this one. I salute you, Teac!
