Title: Fix dented Cones
Post by: gbtr6 on June 29, 2016, 04:43:02 PM
Hi,

New here, but am re-finishing a pair of Dahlquist DQM-9's and they have dented soft cones on the tweeters and mids. I have a product I found that works great for pulling them out. They are MicroStix, and should be available at Hobby Lobby, or online.

Nice.   Thanks for the tip.   Sometimes I'll mist the paper to soften it and make it less likely to crease.   Will these still work if there is dampness?

I don't think so, and on paper you don't want to weaken them with moisture. These little bugger are aggressive. I used them for a sil cone on the Magnat tweeters and mids, aluminum would be OK too.
