Title: A Craigslist Score
Post by: dpl50 on May 22, 2018, 07:05:16 PM
For years I have read on many sites like this one about audio gear scores from the local Goodwill, thrift stores or Craigslist.  I would say to myself, "I never see deals like those" Well I finally have a Craigslist score to report,(a minor score, but a score none the less).  I just picked up a Nakamichi Ta-1a receiver from the original owner for $5.  An older gentleman was clearing out his equipment, and letting stuff go cheap.  I'm listening to it now, and it sounds pretty darn good.  I have not tried the phono yet, but the tuner pulls stations well, and with my ipod hooked up I have some Miles Davis on now which is sounding pretty nice.

I also picked up a Denon AVR 3600 surround receiver from the guy for a friend of mine for $20.  Good ending to the day...

Yep.   That's a score.   Keep it up (except when I'm in the area, of course).
