Title: Melos: buy here before I go and sell these somewhere else

Melos Max3r 2 chassis unit (rare) black with gold knobs, Sold for $4995 (including upgrades) nice 8/10 condition.  I will put this up against any CDp or DAC at any price.  $850

Melos CD-D2 maybe the rarest Melos piece CD transport Sony based with remote (not original) Sold for $2495 nice 7/10 condition.  perfect match with the Max3.  Easily just as good as the Theta Data Basic.  2 spare laser assemblies included.  $650

These need work (these prices are steals):

Melos MA333 "Music Director" Top of the line Reference Melos preamp with Phono.  factory remote.  3 Chassis Pre/Phono/PS powers both.  Black with gold knobs, some fading on the black.  Sold for close if not more than $8500 (with upgrades from MAR to make it the "Music Director").  Passes signal, but the Pho-tentiometer volume and remote board was removed.  balance was wired wrong and now sort of controls volume.  Missing power cord between PS and Phono.  I will include another MA333 parts unit (pre only, no PS nor phono) to fix the issue with the main unit.  $850

Melos SHA-Gold tube headphone amp/preamp with factory remote and probably manual (have to find it) Black with gold knobs.  Maybe the best headphone amp ever made, regarded as such in all of it's reviews.  Sold for $1995 in the 90s.  No sound output, but everything else seems fine.  $250

Melos Max3 tube DAC Black with gold knobs.  Single chassis, 2 inputs and volume (nice feature with tubes).  Amazing DAC.  Sold for $3495 in the 90s.   No sound output,  but everything else seems fine.  $250

what we all want to know is what are you replacing your complete Melos system with?

I just found a sweet spot in my gear, that does not use any of these components.  I have no problem keeping the CD/DAC combo.  The other pieces I have had for years and never even had them looked at.  Of course, they are going on ebay where I will sell them for much more money.  I would love for someone to pick up the SHA-Gold.
