Title: Kenwood KA-7100 Integrated Amp
Post by: dpl50 on March 06, 2020, 07:16:12 AM
I recently picked up a Kenwood KA-7100 Integrated Amp locally in really good shape.  I've always liked the vintage Kenwood gear and when I saw this for sale, I had to grab it. It sounds better than I anticipated, proving once again that good vintage audio gear stands the test of time.

They are nice.  I had a 5700 (with meters!) a while back that, at 40 watts, seemed to be way under rated.

I had a couple of 7100's & a 8100...  They were nice...  Unfortunately,  "had"  :(

I have a KA 7300. Unfortunately the relay starting acting up and my attempts at fixing it has only led to an amp that blows up caps. Set it aside for now, but would really like it working again.

I've had a few Kenwoods in the past and have really enjoyed them.  That's a good looking integrated you have there.  Enjoy!
