Title: Hen's Teeth: Domus Finch speakers (/w SMSL SA-50 Plus and Google AudioCast)
Post by: aether_tech on June 05, 2020, 11:45:27 PM
Took me a few years to find a pair of these, thankfully a Redditor offered to sell me his pair.

Had them in my closet for a few months waiting for some other things in life to work themselves out - but got the pair set up today in my sun room and spent close to six hours streaming various epic and power metal songs (and a few classic rock songs for good measure.)

Gorgeous walnut speakers, amazing sound considering both their age, and 'off-the-shelf' drivers of the time. DLK, you genius crossvoer-making man! (they do lack a bit of bass, but all they've got to work with his a 6" mid and 1" tweeter, no ports/radiators.)

The forum has multiple quirks. Nice looking speakers.

I removed the speakers on my spare 3rd non-quite-working Finch,

one cap cross-over, tweeter and (what little) mid info is available.

front and back are over an inch of walnut, sides feel like 3/4"-1" thick, and front and back panels are resting on a rabbet.

So, thats all the info I have on the Finches.
