:o I cannot believe it. Still cannot believe that you can buy an Adcom amp at Kmart. :o

What next......BMW M5 at Walmarts?
-
They have it listed as a two channel amp. A two channel amp it is not. Great price. They very well may be factory refurb units.
-
It is a misprint. That one is a 5 channel amp. They acutally have several Adcom devices on their website.
The 2 channel is priced at $599.

Well that's not too gawd awfully surprising. Even Carver was actually sold at Circuit City for a short stint. Marantz, IIRC had some gear sold at major retailers as well.
-
As you can see that selling at big box stores did wonders for Carver. I think it kills the image of having higher end equipment. Plus they are selling at a discount which will I am sure is upsetting the sales channels.
-
I don't understand why they would carry something like that.
Kmart isn't the first thing that pops to mind when it comes to audio equipment.
I thought they only sold HTIB, and crappy AIO stereos

That is also what I would think. KMart would not be were I would go to look for quality audio equipment.
