Ruger P95

I'm thinking about picking one up. In my price range, I'm looking at a used Glock, a used 1911 variant, or a new P95.

I currently own a P89 and a Dan Wesson .357 Mag revolver. I love the P89, but it's a tad bulky and heavy. The revolver was my grandfathers, so in the case of personal protection, I'd rather not have it sitting in a room with a little "Exhibit A" tag on it. Although the 1911 is appealing because of pure stopping power, those extra 7 rounds in the 9 are comforting as well.

Do any of yinz have experience with the 95 series?

For the price the Ruger is hard to beat.  If the Glock is within $$ range I have owned two of those and was very happy with them,  indestructible things. Neither is confortable for concealed-carry though (or easy to conceal). The easiest to live with concealed-carry I ever had was the Walther PPK.  Easy to take with you,  but depending on which series you get and from what year there have been reliability issues (misfires,  safety-lock related recall, bla bla).  Also had the Sig 226 for a year,  nice gun...  hey this post is getting me back into that craziness,  better stop writing and get back to listening to music!

Sunny,
I always liked the Colt Mustang and Colt Pocket lite .380 - single action, keep one in the chamber, 6 in the clip - or cocked and locked- Its small enough to have another clip or two around. Sig is making a clone that the Colt clips fit into. Or try a small Kimber .45 or nine they are excellent guns- accurate, small, and ergonomic. There are always the baby Springfield nines, too.
