Tom and I both bought Daniel Boone smokers years ago. Mine was with WiFi and his without. For various reasons he never unboxed his DB but inevitably the non wifi option became a regret after he bought a Davey Crocket for an inpromptu trip to Florida

I love my gmg. Period. Just keep the firebox clean or it will give you trouble when you least expect it. Very little ash does not mean zero ash.

Temperatures transmitted via WiFi from sensors planted in the meat(s).  You can monitor how the meat is cooking from your cell phone or tablet while at Starbucks or wherever.  Smokers have gone hi tech!

You can monitor and adjust the time/temp from your phone.  I've never found it very useful though.
