It sucks, but it is what it is. Insurance is covering it. Thanks to my wife having bad memories of a flood as a child, we have flood insurance.

Ed, that's good news that you have the proper insurance.
I've heard of far too many that were blindsided by something like this and
were hung out to dry by their carrier because they opted out on the flood rider.
