Finished the restoration on this Kenwood KW-40 receiver

Bought it partially restored from a local fellow.  Finished a complete recap yesterday.  Sounds amazing!!

It looks great! Always liked Kenwood vintage stuff.  8)

I like it.  To me it looks like the 1957 Chevrolet of tube receivers.

Scott, that Kenwood looks fabulous!!  The clear knobs are uber cool!!!  What are the power tubes?  Interesting, I don't recall seing a stereo/mono blend pot before.  How does that sound??

How about some nude pictures for us tube perverts??? :P

It uses four EL84/6BQ5 power tubes.   Here's a nudie pic.  I've not tried the stereo/mono blend pot.

So it is a year older than I am.   It is much more well preserved.
