Tom Zurcher in the hospital
« on: November 05, 2011, 08:52:01 AM »
Tom was admitted to the hospital last night. He had another severe abdominal attack and went to the ER.
The hospital staff found numerous gallstones and have scheduled surgery today to have his gall bladder removed.

That's all I know right now. I'll keep you all posted on his status.

/Al

P.S. I'm sure that it goes without saying that geek meetings and other functions will be cancelled until further notice.

I say we storm the hospital room and have the geek meeting there. I'll bring an integrated, someone else can bring a set of bookshelves and an iPod.

GET WELL SOON TOM!

Get well soon Tom.  I hear a gallstone attack can feel like a heart attack.

I am confident that an SL-1200 is capable of outperforming turntables of much higher expense with minor modification.

Al - Tom and Anders - I sent you all PMs with Tom's hospital number.  He wants you to call.  To all others, Tom's doped up right now so he's not in much pain - he has surgery later today.

Hope this will solve the pain and discomfort Tom has been feeling.  Maybe by the time he gets to read this all will be well.  Get better soon, Tom.

Tom, be sure to tell the doctor not to snip off your boys by accident. Get well soon buddy. Prayers sent your way from North Carolina.

The doctors think this is likely the root cause. Hopefully for his sake they are right.

If that's so he's gonna feel much better after this.  I had mine out in 1997.  Any ingestion of fat causes an attack and the pain is debilitating.  No fat, no pain!  I had to wait three months for my surgery, and as long as I ate no fat, life was good.  Antacids made me sick prior to the surgery too, sooo..yeah this should fix him up real well if that's the case!

No lifting for two weeks after the surgery!  He should be back on his feet pretty quickly afterwards as well.  Mine was day surgery.

Hugs to T!  Feel better!
